Washing with soap and water is one of the easiest and most effective ways to stop germs from spreading. Regular handwashing helps lower the risk of diarrhea and respiratory infections such as colds and flu. 🌍💧

5 Steps to Proper Handwashing:�
1️⃣ Wet your hands with clean water�
2️⃣ Apply soap generously�
3️⃣ Scrub palms, back of hands, between fingers, and under nails�
4️⃣ Rinse thoroughly�

Liver cancer is a silent threat — often showing no symptoms until it reaches an advanced stage. At Rafaelab Medical and Wellness Center, we believe that awareness is the first step to prevention.

🔍 Common Signs to Watch Out For:
▪ Pain or discomfort in the upper right abdomen
▪ Unexplained weight loss or loss of appetite
▪ Jaundice (yellowing of eyes or skin)
▪ Abdominal swelling or a lump under the ribs

Animals can look cute and cuddly, and you may want to pet them. But any animal, even if it appears to be friendly or harmless, can spread disease and may be dangerous.

Rabies
Rabies is a deadly disease caused by a virus. You can get rabies if you are bitten or scratched by an animal with rabies. It is almost always fatal if not promptly treated. In many other parts of the world, rabies is a problem, and access to treatment is limited.

Act Quickly If an Animal Bites or Scratches You

Immediately wash all bites and scratches well. Use plenty of soap and running water.
Seek medical care immediately, even if you don’t feel sick or the wound does not look serious.

Fungal diseases are increasing worldwide. Yet, they are often misdiagnosed, which can lead to severe, potentially chronic illness, and sometimes cost lives. Additionally, misdiagnosed patients often receive antibiotics, drugs designed to fight bacteria instead of antifungal needed treat fungal infections. Any misuse of antibiotics or antifungals may contribute to drug resistance.

More than 720,000 people die by su***de every year. For every su***de, there are an estimated 20 su***de attempts.

Su***de can occur at any stage of life and in all regions of the world. In 2021, it was the third leading cause of death among 15–29-year-olds globally, with 73% of all su***des occurring in low- and middle-income countries.

While the link between su***de and mental health conditions — particularly depression, alcohol use disorders, and a history of previous attempts — is well established in high-income countries, many su***des happen impulsively in moments of crisis.

Additional risk factors include experiences of loss, loneliness, discrimination, relationship conflicts, financial difficulties, chronic pain or illness, violence, abuse, and humanitarian emergencies such as war or displacement.
