Oath Taking of New Community Health Workers

During the 2nd Barangay Session for the month of January, a significant event took place - the oath taking of the new community health workers, Ms. Lilibeth Magangan as Barangay Nutrition Scholar and Mr. Marcial Pa-al as Barangay Sanitary Inspector. The ceremony was led by Punong Barangay Hon. Miguel Tangkib, with other barangay employees and community health workers in attendance.

Before taking their oaths, the new officers received words of advice from esteemed guests. Rural Health Midwife Ms. Regina Libangan, their immediate supervisor, shared her guidance, followed by Sir Samson Apaling, Municipal BHW Coordinator, and Sir Lymar Angellano, Rural Sanitary Inspector. They shared updates regarding bhw accreditation and the benifits of workers like scholarships and so on.

Sharing their experiences as BHWs were Ms. Vicenta Aggulin and Hon. Mary Ann Balitnang, who highlighted the importance of dedication in serving the community. They recalled their time as BHWs, where they had a wide scope of responsibilities, including assisting in maternal delivery hands on to many activities.

The oath taking ceremony was a momentous occasion, marking a new chapter in the journey of Ms. Magangan and Mr. Pa-al as community health workers. The attendees welcomed them warmly, and the message was clear: dedication and love for serving the community are key to making a difference.

The event concluded with congratulations and a look forward to the new officers' commitment to serving the community.
