Ang rabies ay hindi lang sa a*o at pusa nakikita.
Maaari rin itong matagpuan sa mga sumusunod na hayop:

🐷 Baboy
🦇 Paniki
🐐 Kambing
🦝 Raccoon at iba pang mammals

Mahalagang Paalala:
Hindi lahat ng hayop ay palaging may rabies, ngunit posible silang magdala at magpasa nito kapag sila ay infected at nakakagat o nakakalmot ng tao.

Ang kagat o kalmot mula sa kahit anong hayop na may rabies ay maaaring magdulot ng malubhang sakit at kamatayan kung hindi agad maaagapan.

Kapag nakagat o nakalmot, huwag mag-atubili—magpatingin agad sa AVMR Animal Bite Center.

BAKIT MAHALAGA ANG ERIG o HRIG? 🐾💉

Ang rabies ay 100% nakamamatay kapag lumabas na ang sintomas — pero maiiwasan ito sa tama at agarang pagpapabakuna.

🔹 Ang ERIG (Equine Rabies Immunoglobulin) o HRIG (Human Rabies Immunoglobulin) ay nagbibigay ng agarang proteksyon matapos ang kagat o kalmot ng hayop na posibleng may rabies.
🔹 May handa nang antibodies na agad lumalaban sa virus habang hinihintay pang umepekto ang bakuna.
🔹 Direktang inilalagay sa sugat para ma-neutralize ang virus bago ito umabot sa nerves at utak.
🔹 Mas mahalaga sa malalalim o maraming sugat, kagat sa mukha/ulo/kamay/paa, at sa mga hindi pa nababakunahan.

⏰ Huwag maghintay. Mas maaga, mas ligtas.
