Today, as we celebrate Goiter Awareness Week, the Philippine College of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism, along with the RTRH IM Residents held a lay forum on Thyroid dysfunction, Thyroid self-exam, and Thyroid myths and fallacies.

Together with us were our supportive endocrinologists, Dr. Salvacion Sible, Dr. Mary Antonette Picorro, Dr. Majorie Palermo, and Dr. Leo Tiu.

After the mini-lectures, an open forum was held where the consultants gave us comprehensive, high-yield, and understandable responses to questions and queries about Goiter and the thyroid gland.

And to culminate the event, free thyroid screening tests were performed to our participants to assess for probable thyroid diseases.
