The Eastern Visayas Medical Center, together with the EXECOM led by Dr. Joseph Michael Jaro, had the honor of welcoming Atty. Ferdinand Martin Romualdez, Representative of Leyte 1st District, Hon. Jude Acidre of Tingog Party-list, and their team on March 21, 2026.
The visit emphasizes EVMCโs ongoing renovations, with a strong focus on healthcare transformation in Level III Hospital and enhancing its capacity to respond to the growing healthcare needs of the region. Guided by the Medical Center Chief, the visitors were toured through key hospital areas to provide a closer look at ongoing improvements and development initiatives.
These developments underscore EVMCโs steady progress toward becoming a more responsive and fully equipped tertiary hospital. This transformation has been made possible through the steadfast support of Hon. Ferdinand Martin Romualdez, Tingog Party-list, and the Department of Health, whose commitment has been instrumental in advancing the hospitalโs infrastructure and services. With their continued support, the transformation of critical care areas, particularly the Emergency Room (ER), Intensive Care Units (ICUs), Operating Rooms (ORs), and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), have been made possible.
EVMC has come a long way in enhancing its facilities and services; however, more transformative projects are still in the pipeline to further strengthen the hospitalโs capacity to deliver quality healthcare.
With continued collaboration and support, EVMC moves forward in its mission to deliver accessible, high-quality, and life-saving healthcare for all Filipinos in Eastern Visayas.
