🦠 Health Advisory: 2 Monkeypox Case Detected in Tacurong City

We have identified a case of monkeypox in our area. Please follow these health guidelines to stay safe and prevent further spread.

What is Monkeypox?

Monkeypox is a viral illness that causes a rash, fever, and flu-like symptoms. It spreads through close contact with an infected person, their body fluids, contaminated materials (like bedding), or respiratory droplets.

Common Symptoms:
• Fever and chills
• Headache and muscle aches
• Swollen lymph nodes
• Rash that turns into blisters (often on the face, hands, and body)

What You Should Do:

✅ Avoid close contact with anyone showing symptoms
✅ Wash your hands frequently with soap and water or use hand sanitizer
✅ Do not share bedding, clothing, or utensils
✅ If you feel unwell or develop a rash, stay home and contact a healthcare provider
✅ Wear a mask and cover your rash if you need to go out

When to Seek Medical Help:
• You have a new rash or flu-like symptoms
• You’ve been in contact with someone diagnosed with monkeypox
• You recently traveled to an area with known cases

Isolation:

If you are suspected or confirmed to have monkeypox:
• Isolate at home until all scabs have fallen off and a new layer of skin has formed
• Follow all medical advice and notify close contacts
