The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will bring scattered rains over Mindanao and Palawan on Thursday, PAGASA reported. The area will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to ITCZ; with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate with at times heavy rains.

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has ordered the implementation of a standard operating procedure (SOP) that will include over-the-counter medicines and maintenance drugs in relief supplies intended for disasters and emergencies in yesterday's situation briefing in Maguindanao.

The President gave importance to the role of the Department of Health (Philippines), physicians, and pharmacists in the SOP as he stressed that only qualified medical professionals should prescribe such medicines during emergencies.
