Online Peer counseling is a project that aims to help young Filipinos cope up with their everyday problems such as relationships, adjustments, life transitions, mental health and emotional difficulties.
Many youths have coping difficulties, have emotional problems or have suicidal thoughts which could grow worse if they have no one to talk to and vent out their feelings. They are called at-risk youths. Yet, in many cases, they will not share the things that are bothering them because they are shy or feel ashamed.
This Peer Counseling help these youths overcome their shyness and have someone to talk to online. And to help at-risk youths by offering them online access to peer counselors- volunteer students who are willing to listen and provide motivational talk and empower the at-risk youth by helping them find areas they can control and manage. And to reach out to at-risk youths who has no one to share their emotional and mental health problems and to convince them to seek professional help if the problems are severe. Most Filipinos will not seek professional help because they are afraid of the stigma.
Peer Counseling willing to listen, responding and helping people, aimed at exploring thoughts, feelings, issues and concerns, with the hope of reaching a clear understanding and make informed decisions.
You can send those thoughts, feelings, issues and concerns on our email:
