St.

Vincent X-Ray Center and Laboratory Inc. (SVXCLI) has long existed as a healthcare organization that provided pre-employement medical examination (PEME) for patient applicants mainly for overseas employement. It has established a record of quality, reliable and affordable medical services to its clients. In the latter part of year 2005, recognizing the need of increasing number of patinets with renal problem the owner of SVXCLI decided to expand to providing dialysis services. this gave birht to the St. Vincent Dialysis Center on September 23, 2005. The center then started getting necessary permits/ licenses from designated government agencies, and thereafter the construction of the facilities and procurement of the needed equipment and supplies followed. After the physical requirements were set up the center then focused on hiring of the needed personnel and the documentation of the organization's policies, programs and procedures. As of November 2005, SAINT VINCENT DIALYSIS CENTER, a free standing dialysis Center is now ready to offer its services to dialysis patients.

What are the lab tests most commonly followed on dialysis patients? What is normal, and what is a typical value for hemodialysis patient.
1. Creatinine (usually high) (8.0-20.0 mg/dl)
2. Blood Urea Nitrogen (high) (60-110 mg/dl)—BUN of 20-50=mild azotemia; levels greater than 100 mg/dL indicate severe renal impairment
3. Potassium (3.5-5 mEq/L)-usually below 6.5 mEq/L
4. Chloride
5. Sodium (135-145 mEq/L)
6. Calcium (60-100 mg/dl) (usually decreased in dialysis pt)
7. Phosphorus (high usually in dialysis pts) 2.3-4.7 mg/dl
8. Alkaline Phosphatase (25-100 units/L
9. Albumin and total protein (3.8-5.5 gm/dl)
10. Glucose (fasting) (60-100), Less than 140
11. Hematocrit (usually low) (33%-36%)
12. Hemoglobin 11-12
