Sangguniang Kabataan of Brgy. Hagonoy’s Pre-Valentine Event was more than just a celebration it was a commitment to health and wellness. Participants were given the opportunity to undergo free HIV, Syphilis, and Hepatitis B screening, because protecting your health is the greatest gift you can give yourself and your loved ones.

🍫🍭 After the testing process, everyone received fun freebies like chocolates, lollipops, and condoms—reminders that love should always be safe, sweet, and responsible. Together, let’s break the stigma, spread awareness, and celebrate Valentine’s with both joy and mindfulness.

Pageantry is more than crowns and gowns it is a platform where beauty and advocacy walk hand in hand.

At the Brgy. Calzada Tipas during the PRG QUEEN OF 2026 pageant, the spotlight did not only shine on grace and talent, but also on compassion and care.

Alongside the celebration, we offered free HIV, Syphilis, and Hepatitis B screening, reminding everyone that true beauty is found in protecting lives and empowering communities. The applause may fade, but the impact of health and awareness lingers far beyond the stage.

As part of our ongoing prevention, education, and awareness initiatives, we facilitated a comprehensive lecture on HIV and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs) for the uniformed personnel of the Philippine Coast Guard – Headquarters Maritime Security Law Enforcement Unit. The session aimed to strengthen their knowledge on HIV transmission, prevention strategies, risk reduction practices, testing procedures, treatment options, and the importance of eliminating stigma and discrimination.

The activity provided an open and informative platform where participants were encouraged to ask questions and actively engage in discussions to better understand the realities of HIV and other STIs. Emphasis was placed on responsible health-seeking behavior, early detection, and the critical role of regular screening in protecting both individual and public health.

Following the lecture, we conducted FREE and confidential HIV, Syphilis, and Hepatitis B screening services for the personnel. This initiative reflects our continued commitment to promoting workplace health, supporting national prevention efforts, and ensuring that our uniformed service members have access to accurate information and essential health services.

In celebration of Diskuhan sa Katuparan, we proudly conducted a free HIV, Syphilis, and Hepatitis B screening to promote awareness, prevention, and early detection within the community. Through this initiative, we aimed to encourage responsible health practices, reduce stigma, and empower individuals to take proactive steps in knowing their health status. Early screening plays a vital role in timely treatment, proper management, and preventing further transmission, making activities like this especially meaningful during community gatherings.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Katuparan, led by SK Chairman Pao Bernardo Gonzales and his dedicated council, for their partnership, warm accommodation, and strong commitment to promoting public health. Their support and collaboration allowed us to reach more residents and make essential health services accessible during this important celebration.

Together, we continue to strengthen community engagement, promote health education, and work toward a safer and healthier Barangay Katuparan for everyone.
