Flanax Philippines Naproxen Sodium (Flanax® ) is a non-steroidal agent developed by Syntex Research. A non-narcotic analgesic agent with marked anti-inflammatory action.

A non-narcotic analgesic agent with marked anti-inflammatory actions. It inhibits prostaglandin syntheses, as do other non-steroidal analgesic/anti-inflammatory agents. It is freely soluble in water and is rapidly and completely absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract after oral administration. Because of this rapid and complete absorption, significant plasma levels and onset of pain relief are obtained in patients within 20 minutes of administration. It has a mean biological half-life of approximately 13 hours. At therapeutic levels it is greater than 99% bound to serum albumin.
