🌟 Hiraya-Diwa Psychological Services was invited by the Peer Facilitators Group of San Pedro College to conduct a team and skills-building workshop entitled “Banaag Kasanayan: A Formation-Building and Committee-Bound Workshop.”

With the goal of fostering stronger collaboration and honing essential leadership skills, the workshop focused on activities designed to enhance interpersonal, communication, and governance skills among the organization’s moderators, officers, and committee members. These skills will serve as valuable tools in carrying out their upcoming projects and initiatives for the academic year.

Representing Hiraya-Diwa were Mr. Andrei Amorado and Ms. Donieza Bolaño, who helped ensure that the goals of the activity were successfully achieved, empowering the Peer Facilitators’ Group with the skills, confidence, and motivation they need to lead with integrity and compassion.

Our gratitude goes to the SPC Peer Facilitators Group for the opportunity to be part of this meaningful formation journey!

We are honored to welcome our psychologists-in-training from the University of Mindanao for their clinical rotation at Hiraya-Diwa Psychological Services!

Under the supervision of Ms. Aiza Faustino, our interns are engaging in a wide range of clinical tasks, from intake interviews and Mental Status Examinations (MSEs) to psychological report writing, case discussions, and supervised client interactions. More than just practicing technical skills, they are learning the values of empathy, ethical responsibility, and professionalism that will shape their future roles as mental health advocates and practitioners. This training experience is not only about building competence, but also about nurturing a deeper sense of purpose in serving individuals and communities.

We look forward to seeing our psychologists-in-training grow, thrive, and eventually serve communities with integrity, empathy, and dedication to mental health advocacy.

September 12, 2025 | Our Psychological Services Unit Head, Mr. Klent Delima, was invited to conduct a learning session on Stress Management for the instructors and staff of Davao Oriental State University (DORSU).

The session highlighted the importance of recognizing stressors in the academic environment and provided participants with practical strategies to cope more effectively. From simple breathing and relaxation exercises, to time management techniques, healthy work-life balance reminders, and self-care practices, the participants gained useful tools they can apply both inside and outside the workplace. The session also encouraged reflection on personal well-being and emphasized that taking care of one’s mental health is essential to sustaining productivity and resilience.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Camille Grace Marianito and the DORSU management for this meaningful opportunity to share knowledge and promote mental well-being within the academic community.

This September 2025, we warmly welcome our first batch of San Pedro College BS Psychology interns for their clinical rotation here at Hiraya-Diwa Psychological Services! ✨

During their training, they immersed themselves in essential clinical work, conducting intake interviews, performing Mental Status Examinations (MSEs), writing psychological reports, and presenting cases. These hands-on experiences allowed them to apply their knowledge, sharpen their skills, and gain a deeper understanding of the responsibilities of a mental health professional.

We’re proud of their eagerness to learn and their commitment to growth. Here’s to more meaningful experiences as they continue their journey toward becoming future mental health professionals!

August 23, 2025 | Hiraya-Diwa Psychological Services held a live learning session on “Cracking the Case: How Forensic Assessment Shapes the Legal System.”

We were honored to have Dr. Gioia Fe D. Ancheta as our guest speaker, who shared her expertise on the role of forensic assessment in ensuring fairness and integrity within the legal system.

The session was also organized and facilitated by our passionate SPC and ADDU Postgraduate Interns, who helped enrich the discussion and engage participants in exploring the intersection of psychology and law.

Every September, we observe World Su***de Prevention Month, a time to raise awareness, extend compassion, and take action to save lives.

As part of this advocacy, Hiraya-Diwa Psychological Services organized a meaningful learning session on Su***de Prevention, facilitated by our dedicated SPC and AdDU postgraduate interns.

The session, led by Ms. Mary Grace Laguting, one of our interns, emphasized the importance of recognizing the warning signs, breaking the stigma surrounding su***de, and equipping participants with practical ways to respond with empathy and support. It reminded us all that creating a community of care begins with awareness, kindness, and action—because no one should have to struggle alone.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to our interns for their dedication in leading this session, and to all participants for joining us in spreading the message that every life is valuable, and every step toward awareness can make a difference.

We joyfully celebrate the success of our former interns who have now achieved a remarkable milestone—becoming Registered Psychologists (RPsy).

Braving the challenges of the BLEPP 2025, they have shown not only perseverance and discipline but also the heart and resilience it takes to pursue this vocation. This accomplishment is more than just passing an exam; it reflects years of preparation, sacrifice, and a deep commitment to the practice of psychology.
