Sharing for awareness. This is not an "allergy" but a contagious skin infection caused by a gram positive bacteria. This bacteria doesn't just affect the skin, eyes and nose but can damage the nerves also.

The condition can be easily mistaken as other skin problems, usually as an "allergy". Not all "red rash" is an allergy. It could be something else.

A huge and warm congratulations to you! 🎉💐🎊

I vividly remember the first day you came to the clinic for consultation. You patiently waited for your turn to be called. Consultation commenced early evening as it was a little busy that day. You sat in front of me and with a soft voice, you told me your concern. Few minutes into our conversation, tears fell whilst saying "Doc, makawala man gud confidence". I handed you a facial tissue... gave you a moment and we started to discuss how to navigate your acne journey.

You were religious on your follow-up consultations and procedures even if you had to travel.

Fast forward today, your sacrifice,diligence and hard work paid off both as a student and as a patient 😊
