Last October 2015, Dr. Romulo A. Busuego the Chief of Davao Regional Medical Center for 27 years retired from office. Since then, Regional Director Abdullah Dumama took over as the Officer In Charge. Today, marks the new beginning for this hospital. With the presence of the Assistant Secretary of Health Nestor Santiago, RD Dumama, Dr. Romulo Busuego and all employees of DRMC, Dr. Bryan O. Dalid was officially installed as the new Medical Center Chief.

The 65th birthday of DRMC's beloved Medical Center Chief for 27 years. The day was filled with ambivalent feeling--the feeling of being happy and sad at the same time. Happy to celebrate the birthday but sad since nobody knows what will tomorrow brings for Davao Regional Medical Center after this big day.

The employees worked hand in hand to give the best hospital manager in the country the grandest celebration ever. Employees show their best in every performances during the party. Closest friends and the Busuego Family were present as part of the surprises for the Big Boss.

Nevertheless, the employees true gift to the boss is a promise that DRMC will forever acknowledge that the success of this hospital is his legacy to everyone.

Dr. Romulo A. Busuego will always be the champion for health for the people of Mindanao.

Blessing and inauguration of the newly constructed buildings of Davao Regional Hospital. The occassion was graced by Senator TG Guingona, Gov. Del Rosario of Davao Del Norte, Gov. Uy of ComVal Province, Cong. Anthony Del Rosario and Mayor Rellon.

Senator Teofisto TG Guingona sponsored the Bill converting Davao Regional Hospital into Davao Regional Medical Center and increasing its authorized bed capacity from 200 to 600. This Bill is authored by Cong. Anthony Del Rosario and Cong. Maricar Zamora.

From House Bill to Senate Bill and now a Republic Act. The good senator announced to all during the program that His Excellency President Benigno Aquino III has approved the Republic Act 10678. Davao Regional Hospital no more. It is now officially Davao Regional Medical Center.

The Surgical Networking Extension Program (SNEP) of Davao Regional Hospital is now on its way to its 26th year. This program was created by Dr. Romulo A. Busuego, Medical Center Chief of DRH, and has been serving the community since 1989. This aims to bridge the gap between the hospital and the people.
Last May 27-29, 2015, the team decided to have a surgical mission in Manay, Davao Oriental. It was able to accomplished 26 major surgeries, 26 medium and 83 minor surgeries adding to the thousand of surgeries they had over the past years.
Hence, the SNEP Team, headed by our very dynamic Medical Center Chief, Dr. Busuego, would like to extend our heartfet gratitude to the Provincial Government of Davao Oriental, headed by Gov. Corazon N. Malanyaon, for welcoming the team in your province and allowing us to serve your people.

Started with the celebration of the holy mass.
Followed by the float parade around the City of Tagum.
Gave thanks to our patron saint, the Sto. Nino, by having a street dance around DRH compound.
Played the Larong Pinoy.
And awed by the presentation of the different festival dances during the culmination program.
It's more fun in DRH!
