HAPPY 2nd ANNIVERSARY ADVHC - TAGUM!

Two years in, and ADVHC - Tagum continues to grow and serve with the same commitment—to provide care, support, and grow with every pet and family that trusts us.

Yesterday’s celebration was indeed a joyful way to mark this milestone. From free services and fun games to sweet treats and prizes, we hope everyone enjoyed what we prepared and shared in the day with you and your pets🥹

Amid all the fun, we also took a moment to reflect through a short video presentation, showing how far ADVHC - Tagum has come, from a humble clinic to a full-fledged hospital built with dedication and integrity.

Also, Dr. Jared got to share helpful insights on rabies awareness on pet owners. The event was capped off by recognizing our doctors for reaching another milestone and the progress they’ve made in growing their practice and contributing to Animal Doctors.

Mandibular Symphysial Dislocation Successfully Managed! 🐾

Meet Apo, who came to Animal Doctors Veterinary Hospital with a mandibular symphysial dislocation due to trauma— a condition where the lower jaw bones separate at the midline, making it painful and difficult to eat.

Our surgical team carefully realigned the mandible and placed a cerclage wire to stabilize the bones and allow proper healing. 🩺✨

Thanks to timely intervention, Apo is now comfortable, recovering well, and will soon be back to eating normally. 💛🐶

📢 𝙴𝚊𝚛𝚜 𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚎!! 📢

Meet Memo, a 2-year and 10-month-old male Shih Tzu mix, was brought in with 𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 and a noticeable build up of 𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗸-𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲.

Upon examination by 𝗗𝗿. 𝗞𝗲𝗶𝘁𝗵, ear cytology revealed sloughed epithelial cells and a significant presence of Malassezia spp., a yeast commonly causing ear infections in dogs.

A thorough 𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 was performed, and appropriate 𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 was initiated to manage the infection, which provided immediate relief and left Memo feeling much more comfortable.

This case highlights the importance of 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝘃𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸-𝘂𝗽𝘀 and 𝗿𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, especially for breeds prone to ear issues like Shih Tzus. Early detection and proper care helps prevent infections and discomfort.
