"BUNTIS DAY - A Safe Motherhood Advocacy" is a community-based initiative that aims to raise awareness about the importance of maternal health, prenatal care, and safe delivery practices. This advocacy seeks to reach out to expectant mothers—especially those with limited access to healthcare—by providing them with essential information, health services, and emotional support.

BUNTIS DAY ACTIVITIES conducted last Oct. 10, 2025 (1st Batch) and Oct. 17, 2025 (2nd Batch) with participants from 25 barangays.

SCHISTOSOMIASIS PREVENTION AND CONTROL

Today, team from the TMHC, Province and BLGU, work hand on hand to continue combating a hidden disease. Selected logistics has been doled out to our endemic barangays.

Schistosomiasis, a silent destroyer lurking in rivers and rice fields, demands nothing less than a battle plan for survival. Control strategies strike on multiple fronts: mass drug administration with praziquantel sweeps through communities like a cleansing tide, breaking the parasite’s grip on human lives. Simultaneously, environmental interventions target the snail hosts, draining their breeding grounds and cutting off the enemy’s supply line. Health education rallies the people, arming them with knowledge to avoid contaminated waters and to fight for safe sanitation. Together, these strategies weave a dramatic defense—medicine, environment, and awareness—standing as a fortress against a disease that has haunted generations.
