A successful Mobile Blood Donation was held yesterday, November 20, 2025 in Barangay Mandahilag, led by Barangay Captain Hon. Rey Quibedo, in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross Gingoog Chapter and the Municipal Health Office headed by Dr. Gay Ardanas.

A heartfelt thank you to the Barangay Council for their unwavering commitment to the National Voluntary Blood Service Program, this is already their second MBD this year!

In response to Typhoon Tino, the Municipal Health Office of Talisayan mobilized its staff to various barangays for immediate health action yesterday, November 3, 2025. The team prepositioned essential medicines in identified areas, conducted rapid health assessments, and monitored evacuation centers to ensure the safety and well-being of affected residents. Medical assistance and medicines were provided to evacuees, while patients requiring further care were referred to MOPH Talisayan for appropriate management.

📌Paano naipapasa ang Leptospirosis?

-Paglusong sa maruming baha, lalo na kung may bukas na sugat
-Pagkain at paginom ng kontaminadong pagkain at inumin
-Pagtalsik ng kontaminadong ihi/tubig, kapag tumalsik sa mata, ilong, o bibig

📌Anu-ano ang mga sintomas ng Leptospirosis?
Lagnat
Pananakit ng kalamnan ng guya
Panginginig
Pananakit ng ulo at katawan

Pamamantal
Paninilaw ng balat
Pamumula ng mata

📍Before a Disaster

DO:

âś…Never assume and never underestimate the possibility of a disaster.
✅Always apply Murphy’s Law — “Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong.”
âś…Prepare a disaster emergency kit that includes:
-Flashlight
-Radio
-Extra batteries
-Basic medicines
-Drinking water
-Non-perishable food

❌ DON’T:

-Don’t rely on unverified sources or rumors.
-Don’t spread misinformation.

📍During a Disaster

DO:

âś…Stay indoors and remain calm.
âś…Follow your family evacuation plan if necessary.
âś…Monitor updates from TV, radio, or official social media sources.
âś…In case of flooding, shut off power, gas, and water supply.
âś…Obey all instructions from authorities or the government.

❌ DON’T:

-Don’t panic. Stay calm and focused.

📍After a Disaster

DO:
