This is a case of a 65y.o., woman who complains of eye pain, headache, gradual loss of vision.

On the photo you can see a white layer of liquified lens (cataract) material and some are seen floating, glistening like snow.

Her condition is called Phacolytic Glaucoma, a type of Lens-induced glaucoma, that is caused by a very mature or hypermature Cataract. It will lead to blindness if no surgery is done.

Main cause is a delay in cataract surgery.
And the only prevention is early check up and Phacoemulsification Cataract Surgery.
