: An ordinance seeking to require pedicab drivers to undergo random drug tests has been proposed before the Dumaguete City Council. Authored by Councilor Atty. K. Tolentino-Maxino, the bill aims to ensure road safety for both motorists and commuters in the city.

Under the proposed ordinance, if a pedicab driver is found drug-positive, he or she will not be allowed to drive until he or she completes rehabilitation.
