Prayer to the True Judge
Glorious Jesus Christ, the true judge,
Lord of the living and of the dead,
firm foundation of the christian hope.
Thou that was born of the Virgin Mary,
and you suffered for us on the wood of the cross,
we beseech you to come to our defense.
You who silenced the storm,
and with your mighty voice you healed the sick,
You have risen the widow's son
and thou forgave the Magdalene,
show up today as our defender.
May your holy blood wash us,
May your cross protect us,
that your power breaks chains and crickets,
and your mercy sets us free
of all visible and invisible enemies.
When the world rises against us,
let your angels encamp around us,
and may your holy name be our shield.
Righteous Judge, Eternal Lord,
in you we trust today and forever.
