Ang may ketong ay hindi kailangang ihiwalay habambuhay.
Kapag kumpleto ang gamutan, sila ay itinuturing na gumaling.

Hindi rin lahat ng may ketong ay nagkakaroon ng kapansanan, maagang diagnosis ang susi sa pag-iwas sa deformities at komplikasyon.
