A Historic Milestone for Wao District Hospital!
Today, October 16, 2025, marks a proud and momentous day for Wao District Hospital as we celebrate the inauguration of our newly completed Operating Room and Delivery Room Complex — a shining symbol of growth, service, and unwavering commitment to providing quality and accessible healthcare for the people of Wao and its neighboring communities.
This modern facility stands as a testament to progress and perseverance, designed to provide safe surgical care, quality maternal services, and efficient patient-centered healthcare. It represents not just an infrastructure milestone, but a renewed promise to deliver compassionate and excellent service to every patient who walks through our doors.
This remarkable achievement is made possible through the visionary leadership of our Chief of Hospital II and the Father of Wao District Hospital, Dr. Asnawi R. Dalidig, Al-Hadj, whose dedication and service have inspired the entire WDH family to strive for excellence and integrity in all that we do.
We extend our deepest gratitude to our distinguished guests who honored us with their presence — Minister Kadil M. Sinolinding, Jr., Minister of the Ministry of Health – BARMM; Hon. Gov. Mamintal “Bombit” Alonto Adiong Jr., Governor of Lanao del Sur; Dr. Alinader D. Minalang, Provincial Health Officer II; Dr. Ehsan D. Paudac, Chief of the Health Regulation Division; Hon. Mayor Elvino B. Balicao Jr., Municipal Mayor of Wao, Lanao del Sur; and Dr. Shalimar S. Rakiin, Medical Center Chief II of Amai Pakpak Medical Center.
We also wish to thank the heads and representatives of various government agencies, local offices, and partner institutions who joined us in this celebration. Your continued support, partnership, and encouragement inspire us to move forward with greater purpose and unity.
To our Wao District Hospital staff, your tireless efforts, teamwork, and dedication are the true foundation of this success. Each of you plays an important role in the hospital’s journey — from our doctors, nurses, and midwives, to our administrative staff, maintenance personnel, and support services team. This milestone belongs to all of you. Your hard work, compassion, and commitment to serve the people of Wao are what truly bring life to this institution.
As we open this new chapter, we reaffirm our shared mission — to provide healthcare that is accessible, excellent, and filled with compassion. Together, as one WDH family, we move forward in building a healthier, stronger, and more resilient community for all.
