At Zamboanga City Medical Center, we recently harvested fresh ๐๐ž๐œ๐ก๐š๐ฒ from our own Vegetable, Fruit, and Herb Gardenโ€”a simple but meaningful step toward healthier meals for our patients.

This harvest by the Nutrition and Dietetics Department, goes straight into our patientsโ€™ meals, providing fresh, nutritious, and locally grown vegetables. By producing food within the hospital grounds, we support sustainable practices while ensuring quality nutrition for recovery and healing.

Today, Zamboanga City Medical Center officially opens its ๐๐ข๐œ๐ฒ๐œ๐ฅ๐ž ๐๐š๐ซ๐ค๐ข๐ง๐  ๐€๐ซ๐ž๐š for employees and clientsโ€”and yes, itโ€™s more than just a parking space. Itโ€™s also a passion fruit and grapes garden!

This is what a climate-smart hospital looks like. We are turning transport into action, space into food, and sustainability into patient care. The fruits harvested from this garden will be served to our clients, proving that small green actions can create real health benefits.

Every bicycle parked here means fewer emissions.

The Safety and Environment Unit successfully conducted the ๐Ÿ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐๐ฎ๐š๐ซ๐ญ๐ž๐ซ ๐๐š๐ญ๐ข๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐’๐š๐Ÿ๐ž๐ญ๐ฒ ๐“๐จ๐ฐ๐ง ๐‡๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐Œ๐ž๐ž๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐  today, February 13, 2026, at the Tzu Chi Conference Room (2nd Floor), with the active participation of ZCMC employees from various departments.

Our ZCMC Garden just leveled up! With the newly fabricated raised planters, the garden is now better equipped to grow healthier and more abundant vegetables for our hospital community.

These upgrades donโ€™t just make the garden look better โ€” they make it ๐‘ค๐‘œ๐‘Ÿ๐‘˜ ๐‘๐‘’๐‘ก๐‘ก๐‘’๐‘Ÿ. Raised planters improve soil quality, drainage, and plant care, which means higher harvests and better-quality vegetables in the coming months. More yield, better produce, and a greener ZCMC.

Big thanks to our Engineering and Facilities Management (EFM) team for their invaluable assistance in fabricating the raised planters and garden upgrade. Your support helped turn this vision into something we can grow with.
