NATIONAL WOMEN’S MONTH 2026 | CULMINATING ACTIVITY 💜
At Labuan General Hospital, we believe that when women are empowered, communities become stronger.
In celebration of National Women’s Month 2026, the Public Health Unit (PHU) successfully led the hospital’s culminating activity on March 31, 2026, bringing together women employees in a meaningful celebration of leadership, resilience, and shared purpose.
Anchored on the theme “Lead Like the Babaylans, Filipinas,” the activity honored the invaluable role of women in healthcare and community development recognizing not just what they do, but the impact they create every day.
The program opened with a Zumba session, promoting wellness and reminding us that caring for others begins with caring for ourselves. This was followed by a Women Leadership Talk delivered by Dr. Anna Eunice A. Sapasap, PHU Head, highlighting the role of women as leaders, advocates, and change makers in both the health system and the communities we serve.
One of the most meaningful parts of the activity was the Commitment Wall, where participants shared personal pledges—quiet promises rooted in growth, purpose, and continued service. A photo booth captured moments of unity and celebration, reflecting the strength found in community.
A Women’s Booth was also set up, where IEC materials were distributed alongside free vitamins and tokens of appreciation—simple gestures that carry a deeper message: that the dedication of women in healthcare is seen, valued, and honored.
More than a culmination, this activity was a reminder:
Leadership is not defined by position, but by purpose.
As we close this year’s celebration, we reaffirm our commitment to a workplace and a health system where women are empowered, supported, and given space to lead.
Because at LGH, when women lead—they heal, they inspire, and they transform communities.
