Today marks another important milestone for the Esperanza Treatment Hub as we officially began providing antiretroviral medications to our patients. This step brings us closer to our mission of delivering accessible, compassionate, and stigma-free HIV care for our community.

In addition to treatment, the Hub is now open for HIV counseling, screening, and testing, reinforcing our commitment to early detection, timely care, and continued support for every individual.

As we conclude the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women, Labuan General Hospital reaffirms its commitment to fostering a safe, respectful, and gender-sensitive environment for all.

Through information sessions, community outreach, internal engagements, and collective reflection, this campaign reminded us that ending violence against women requires awareness, accountability, and sustained action—beyond these 18 days.

The campaign may have ended, but the responsibility continues. Together, we commit to listening, supporting, and acting to protect the dignity and well-being of women in our workplace and community. 🧡

Labuan General Hospital is honored to announce the formal inauguration of the Esperanza Treatment Hub, held last December 1, 2025, in observance of World AIDS Day. This milestone marks a significant advancement in our commitment to expanding accessible, inclusive, and stigma-free HIV services for the communities we serve—especially along the West Coast.

This initiative was made possible through the leadership and dedication of:

We express our heartfelt appreciation to our partners and guests who joined us in this milestone event, including representatives from the DOH Regional Office, Zamboanga City Medical Center (ZCMC), PhilHealth, Mujer LGBTQIA+, and other allied organizations whose support continues to strengthen our shared advocacy.

We also acknowledge the invaluable contributions of our medical technologists, nursing staff, Public Health Unit, and the various departments and units of Labuan General Hospital whose collective effort ensured the successful launch of this program. Their professionalism and commitment have made it possible to establish a safe, dignified, and patient-centered space for individuals seeking HIV testing, treatment, and care.

As we move forward, Labuan General Hospital reaffirms its dedication to strengthening HIV awareness, encouraging early testing and treatment, and fostering a compassionate, stigma-free community where every person is respected, supported, and empowered.

As part of the 18-Day Campaign to End VAW, Labuan General Hospital, through its Public Health Unit, conducted an outreach program at Barangay Ayala, Zamboanga City to raise awareness about violence against women (VAW) and support efforts to protect and empower women in the community.

This initiative highlights the importance of listening to, understanding, and safeguarding women, while promoting a culture of care, respect, and dignity.

Through this outreach, Labuan General Hospital reaffirms its commitment to the safety, well-being, and rights of all women in the community. 🧡🧡🧡
