Cesarean section. It is the ONLY major surgery, where 7 layers are opened and then you are expected to be on your feet 6 hours later, taking responsibility for another person. While it may seem normalized, it’s a major abdominal surgery that requires significant recovery and carries risks like infection, blood loss, & complications from anesthesia.

To all the cesarean mamas. You are not broken. Your body did not fail you. You birthed your baby. And you are incredible. Thats something to be damn proud of! ❤️‍🩹👏

The feeling after giving birth is unreal.
A full body high. The adrenaline is rushing.
My heart’s pounding. I’m crying. I’m shaking.

And then they laid her on my chest
and everything hit me at once.

I did it.
I really did it.
I brought life into this world.

Exhausted, overwhelmed, but more powerful than I’ve ever felt in my entire life.
