A Heart-Healthy Message for the Community in Ramadan
As we welcome the blessed month of Ramadan, let's prioritize our heart health—both spiritually and physically. Fasting offers numerous health benefits, but for individuals with heart conditions, it's crucial to take precautions:
✅ Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water between Iftar and Suhoor to maintain good circulation and prevent dehydration.
✅ Eat Mindfully: Avoid fried and salty foods; opt for heart-friendly choices like fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins.
✅ Moderate Caffeine: Excessive tea or coffee can lead to dehydration and palpitations.
✅ Medication Compliance: If you're on heart medications, consult your doctor to adjust your dosage timing safely.
✅ Avoid Overeating: Sudden heavy meals at Iftar can put stress on your heart. Break your fast gradually.
✅ Monitor Your Health: If you experience chest pain, shortness of breath, or dizziness, seek medical attention immediately.
May this Ramadan bring you peace, health, and blessings. Stay safe, and take care of your heart!
