On the 6th death anniversary of Mashal Khan, the Progressive Thinkers Alliance (PTA) strongly condemns not only his brutal murder but also the regressive and dangerous mindset that led to his lynching on false blasphemy allegations. Mashal Khan was a young, progressive soul who believed in questioning everything and challenging the status quo, and we are committed to continuing his revolutionary legacy.

The tragedy of Mashal Khan's death is a reminder of the urgent need to protect the fundamental right to think freely and express oneself without fear of violence or persecution. We stand in solidarity with all those who have been targeted for their beliefs and ideas, and we vow to continue the fight for justice and equality for all.

Mashal Khan's legacy will continue to inspire us to work towards a society where freedom of thought and expression are valued and protected, and where individuals are able to live and thrive without fear of persecution or violence.

Dera Ismail Khan chapter of Progressive Students Collective (PSC) announces its official rebranding as Progressive Thinkers Alliance (PTA). With this change, the organization aims to establish itself as an independent entity and dissociate from any prior affiliations.

PTA is a progressive students organization that works towards promoting critical thinking, fostering a culture of dialogue, and advocating for the restoration of student unions. The organization's primary goal is to build safe and harassment-free campuses, especially for women, by working towards their rights and raising awareness about these issues.

"We are excited to announce our rebranding to the Progressive Thinkers Alliance.This change reflects our commitment to a progressive and inclusive vision for the future of student activism. We firmly believe that the name Progressive Thinkers Alliance better captures our mission and values, which is to promote a culture of critical thinking, dialogue and advocacy, and to work towards making our campuses safe and harassment-free."

The organization has been instrumental in advocating for the rights of students, especially in advocating for the demilitarization of campuses. They have been successful in creating awareness about the issues of sexual harassment, gender-based violence, and creating a safe environment for students on campuses.

PTA looks forward to working with students, faculty, and administration across campuses to create a more inclusive and progressive environment for students.

پروگریسو سٹوڈنٹس کلیکٹو کی مرکزی کابینہ کے حوالے سے سابق صدر قیصر جاوید کی جانب سے اپنے من پسند لوگوں پر مشتمل ایک پینل کو مرکزی کابینہ کا نام دے کر اعلان کیا جارہا ہے۔ ہم ڈیرہ اسماعیل خان چیپٹر سابق صدر اور سابق ممبر قیصر جاوید کے اس مایوس کن عمل کی مکمل طور پہ مذمت کرتے ہیں۔ہم مکمل طور پہ واضح کردینا چاہتے ہیں کہ ہم ایسے کسی پینل کو نہیں مانتے جن پر پوری تنظیم میں سے کوئی بھی اعتماد نہیں کرتا۔ہم یہ بڑا واضح انداز کردینا چاہتے ہیں کہ ڈیرہ اسماعیل خان چیپٹر ایسے کسی پینل کے ساتھ کام نہیں کرے گا۔ہم مکمل طور پہ اس پینل سے لاتعلقی کا اظہار کرتے ہیں۔ اور سابق ممبر و سابق صدر پی ایس سی قیصر جاوید کے اس انتہائی قابل مذمت اور قابل شرمندگی والے عمل کے بعد ان سے بھی مکمل لاتعلقی کا اظہار کرتے ہیں۔

آج ڈیرہ اسماعیل خان میں پروگریسو سٹوڈنٹس کلیکٹو کی جنرل باڈی میٹنگ ہوئی۔ جس میں تنظیم کی مرکزی کابینہ کے الیکشنز کے حوالے سے جاری کشیدگی پر شرکا نے انتہائی تشویش کا مظاہرہ کیا۔ سابق کابینہ کی جانب سے تیار کی گئی ووٹنگ لسٹوں پر اظہار عدم اعتماد کرتے ہوئے گزشتہ روز کارکنان کی ہونے والی جنرل باڈی میٹنگ میں منظور ہونے والی قرارداد پر عمل کرنے کے لیے مرکز کی لیڈرشپ کو ایک ہفتے کا وقت دیا۔ ڈیرہ اسماعیل خان چیپٹر کی کابینہ ممبرز نے مرکز کے ساتھیوں سے مطالبہ کیا کہ ایک ہفتے تک اگر مرکز میں جاری کشمکش کا کوئی حل نہ نکالا گیا اور اسی طرح من پسند لوگوں کو نوازا گیا تو ہم لوگ آگے مزید سفر جاری نہیں رکھ سکیں گے۔

Members from D.I.Khan chapter taking part in protest on the behalf of Progressive Student Collective conducted by NDM regarding the where about of Insaf Shah. The said person was abducted from Tank District a month ago and still he is. Progressive Student Collective demands ultimate abolition of this very system of abduction and immediate action against the abductor of Insaf Shah.
