Applications are invited for the following courses at COAVS-KEMU, Mayo hospital Lahore.

1. Masters in community eye health 2 years programme. Basic requirement MBBS

2. BSc(hons) Vision Sciences 4 years programme. Basic requirement Fsc pre-medical plus MDCAT

The last date for application submission is 6th January 2024.

The first merit list will be Displayed on 24th January.

American Optometric Association redefines Doctor of Optometry/ Optometrists.

Optometry has flourished tremendously in United States of America and the country has set the path forward for optometrists worldwide.

A protest was held in front of Punjab Assembly Lahore on 9th July, 2021. Hundreds of optometrists gathered from all over the country to protest against the inclusion of Optometry in Allied Health Council and demanded the establishment of an independent Optometry Council in Pakistan to regulate the profession. They emphasized that optometry is an autonomous profession as defined by the World Council of Optometry and must not be included in Allied Health Council. Optometrists are primary eye care professionals and play a crucial role in the prevention of blindness.
