پاکستان میں کارڈیک سرجری کے شعبے میں ایک معروف نام۔ اپنی ابتدائی تعلیم کراچی میں مکمل کی اور 1985 میں سندھ میڈیکل کالج سے ایم بی بی ایس کیا۔ پھر سول اسپتال کراچی میں جنرل سرجری کے ٹرینی کے طور پر کام کیا اور 1992 میں ایف سی پی ایس کی تکمیل کی۔ اس وقت ان کے پاس پاکستان میں کسی بھی فیکلٹی پوزیشن میں شامل ہونے اور کنسلٹنٹ کے طور پر کام شروع کرنے کا آپشن تھا لیکن متوسط ​​گھرانے سے تعلق رکھنے کے باوجود اس نے اپنے وسائل کو پورا کرنے کے لیے یو ایف آر کو منتقل کیا اور اپنے خواب کو پورا کرنے کے لیے ایف آر سی ایس منتقل کیا۔ والس گریو ہسپتال کوونٹری، برسٹل رائل انفرمری، برسٹل، ناردرن جنرل ہسپتال شیفیلڈ، گلین فیلڈ ہسپتال لیسٹر اور ناٹنگھم سٹی ہسپتال میں کام کیا اور ایف آر سی ایس کارڈیوتھوراسک (برطانیہ اور آئرلینڈ) کا درجہ حاصل کیا۔

سالوں سے وہ کالج آف فزیشن اینڈ سرجنز، پاکستان میں ٹریننگ سپروائزر ہیں۔ طلباء کی تعداد کے سرپرست اور استاد، ان میں سے اکثر اب آزاد سرجن کے طور پر کام کر رہے ہیں۔

قومی اور بین الاقوامی جرائد میں شائع ہونے والے 40 سے زیادہ تحقیقی مقالوں کے مصنف اور شریک مصنف۔

ڈاکٹر مدثر کو لیاقت نیشنل ہسپتال، سول ہسپتال کراچی، انڈس ہسپتال کراچی، ڈاؤ یونیورسٹی ہسپتال اوجھا، پٹیل ہسپتال کراچی اور پیر عبدالقادر شاہ جیلانی انسٹی ٹیوٹ آف میڈیکل سائنسز، گمبٹ میں کارڈیک سرجری سیٹ اپ میں کلیدی کردار ادا کرنے کا اعزاز حاصل ہے۔
چاہے ان کے ساتھ ساتھی، طالب علم اور اسٹاف ممبر کے طور پر کام کیا جائے یا مریض کے طور پر ان سے ملاقات کی ہو، کوئی شخص ان کی شخصیت میں سادگی، عاجز اور زمین سے نیچے کی فطرت اور سخاوت کا مشاہدہ کر سکتا ہے۔

سندھ سے ان کی محبت نے کراچی سے گمبٹ تک ان کے تھکا دینے والے سفر کی راہ ہموار کی۔ جہاں وہ کراچی کے بعد سندھ میں پہلے کارڈیک سرجری سینٹر کے قیام کا حصہ بننے کا اپنا خواب جی رہے ہیں۔ PAQSJIMS، گمبٹ۔ جو

Prof. Mudassir Iqbal Dar
AN INSPIRATION

A well known name in the field of Cardiac Surgery in Pakistan. Completed his early education in Karachi and did MBBS from Sindh Medical College in 1985. Then worked as General Surgery trainee at Civil Hospital Karachi and accomplished FCPS in 1992. At this point he had an option to join any faculty position in Pakistan and start working as a Consultant but inspite of belonging to a middle class family he gathered his resources and moved to UK to fulfill his dreams, where he did FRCS. Worked at Walsgrave Hospital Coventry, Bristol Royal Infirmary, Bristol, Northern General Hospital Sheffield, Glenfield Hospital Leicester and Nottingham City Hospital and achieved status of FRCS Cardiothoracic ( UK & Ireland).

Since years he is a Training Supervisor in College of Physician and Surgeons, Pakistan. Mentor and teacher of number of students, many of them working as independent surgeons now.

Author and Co-author of more then 40 research papers published in national and international journals.

Dr. Mudassir has an honour of key role player in Cardiac Surgery Setups at Liaquat National Hospital, Civil Hospital Karachi, Indus hospital Karachi, Dow University Hospital Ojha, Patel Hospital Karachi and Pir Abdul Qadir Shah Jeelani Institute of Medical Sciences, Gambat.

Having performed thousands of Cardiac Surgery Procedures, has gained expertise of all kind of Procedures especially CABG in low Ejection Fraction and diffuse coronary artery disease which is a real threat in this modern era.

In his untiring professional journey remained on posts like Professor of Cardiac Surgery at Lumhs Jamshoro, Consultant at Liaquat National Hospital, Professor at Dow University of Health Sciences, Director of Dow Institute of Cardiology, Professor at PAQSJIMS, Gambat.

Whether working with him as Colleague, Student and Staff Member or met with him as a patient one can witness simplicity in his personality, humble and down to earth nature and generosity.

His love for Sindh paved his way of exhausting journey from Karachi to Gambat. Where he is living his dream of being part of establishing first Cardiac Surgery Centre in Sindh after Karachi. PAQSJIMS, Gambat. Which shows his love for his country especially Sindh.

Dr. Hosh Muhammad is a highly motivated Consultant Cardiac Surgeon and Assistant Professor of Cardiac Surgery at Gambat Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS), one of the most rapidly emerging and respected institutions in the field of medical sciences in Pakistan over the last decade. GIMS is widely recognized for its excellence in cardiac care, advanced surgical services, medical education, and research and largest multi organ transplant program of the country playing a vital role in delivering quality healthcare to underserved communities across Sindh.

He holds an MBBS from Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences (LUMHS) Jamshoro and completed his MS in Cardiac Surgery from Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS). His foundational clinical training includes experience at JPMC Karachi and specialized cardiac surgery exposure as a Trainee Resident Medical Officer at NICVD Karachi. And then postgraduate training at Dow University of Health Sciences, Civil Hospital Karachi and Dow University Hospital Ojha.

With participation in thousands of cardiac surgeries and having independently performed over 300 complex cardiac procedures, Dr. Hosh Muhammad has demonstrated exceptional surgical skill and sound clinical judgment, achieving outcomes comparable to international standards. He is regarded as one of the young and dynamic cardiac surgeons of Pakistan, capable of performing a wide range of advanced heart surgeries while contributing actively to teaching, training, and academic development at GIMS.He has been serving with dedication and commitment at Cardiac Surgery Department GIMS since more than 5 years and a great asset in the field of Cardiac Surgery in this region saving hundreds of precious lives.
