Two Staff members from our Cath Lab department , Mr Imdad Ali Chief Cath Lab along with Cath Lab technician Amjad Hussain, are presently undergoing training at the Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology (RIC) in Rawalpindi. Insha’Allah, Gilgit Cardiac Hospital will soon begin interventional services for our community, and three state‑of‑the‑art cath labs will become functional very shortly Inshallah

Today marked a significant milestone in healthcare services for the region of Gilgit-Baltistan as Chief Secretary Abrar Ahmad Mirza, accompanied by Secretary Health Asif Ullah Khan, officially inaugurated the newly established Radiology Department at the Gilgit Cardiac Hospital. This state-of-the-art facility is set to enhance diagnostic capabilities and improve patient care in the region, which has long been in need of advanced medical services.
The Radiology Department is equipped with the latest biomedical technology, ensuring that patients have access to high-quality diagnostic imaging. Among the cutting-edge equipment available are ::

1-CT Angiography machine (1st installation in Gilgit-Baltsitan)
2-Radio Fluoroscopy unit (1st installation in Gilgit-Baltsitan)
3-ETT (Exercise Tolerance Test) machine
4-12-channel and 6-channel ECG machines (1st installation in Gilgit-Baltsitan)
5-Digital X-Ray Machine 1000 MA (2nd Installation notionwide )
6-Two Portable X-Ray Machines

محکمہ صحت گلگت بلتستان کی جانب سے نگراں وزیرِاعلیٰ کو بریفنگ

سیکرٹری صحت گلگت بلتستان جناب آصف اللہ خان نے ایڈیشنل سیکرٹری صحت ارشاد حسین، ڈائریکٹر جنرل صحت ڈاکٹر سید صادق شاہ رضوی اور ڈائریکٹر ہیلتھ انڈومنٹ فنڈ سید اشتیاق حسین رضوی کے ہمراہ نگراں وزیر اعلیٰ گلگت بلتستان کو محکمہ صحت کے مختلف امور پر تفصیلی بریفنگ دی۔

بریفنگ کے دوران صوبے کے صحت کے نظام میں جاری اصلاحات، ترقیاتی منصوبوں، طبی سہولیات کی بہتری، عملے کی استعداد کار میں اضافے، ادویات کی فراہمی، ہیلتھ انڈومنٹ فنڈ کے کردار اور آئندہ کے لائحہ عمل پر جامع گفتگو ہوئی۔

نگراں وزیر اعلیٰ نے محکمہ صحت کی کارکردگی کو سراہتے ہوئے ہدایت کی کہ عوام کو معیاری صحت خدمات فراہم کرنے کیلئے تمام منصوبوں کو ترجیحی بنیادوں پر مکمل کیا جائے۔

محکمہ صحت کی ٹیم نے یقین دہانی کروائی کہ بہتر صحت سہولیات اور مضبوط صحت نظام کے لیے کوششیں بھرپور انداز میں جاری رہیں گی۔

Today, Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, Prof. Ahsan Iqbal, visited Gilgit Cardiac Hospital. He was received by Health Secretary Mr. Asif Ullah Khan.During the visit, Medical Superintendent Dr. Farmanullah briefed the minister on the hospital’s current OPD services, including cardiac consultations, ECG and medication dispensing and outlined plans for future expansions such as upgrading the catheterisation laboratory, establishing a cardiac surgery unit, and introducing telemedicine.Director General Health Dr. Sadiq Shah, Deputy Medical Superintendent Dr. Syed Sirtaj Hussian, and Project Director Engr. Shahid Masood were also present during the visit.
