Alhamdulillah,Today marks a significant milestone for Gilgit Cardiac Hospital as our four dedicated staff members from Cath Lab and Radiology departments successfully completed their three-months training program at the Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology (RIC),This comprehensive training was conducted under the supervision of RIC’s doctors and staff, has equipped our team with cutting-edge techniques and best practices in cardiac care. We're confident this will greatly benefit our patients in Gilgit-Baltistan.We sincerely thank the RIC management and staff for this invaluable opportunity. A training session on the newly procured Bio Medical equipment was conducted by a trained Bio Medical engineer at Gilgit Cardiac Hospital. This training is likely aimed at familiarizing the hospital staff with the equipment's operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.Such training is important to ensure the equipment is used effectively and safely, ultimately benefiting patients.

Dr. Niaz Ali, Caretaker Health Minister, Government of Gilgit-Baltistan, along with Dr. Mubashir, Director Planning and Procurement, and Dr. Abdul Salam, Director Health Services, Gilgit Region, visited Gilgit Cardiac Hospital,Jutail Gilgit.The delegation was received by Dr. Farmanullah, Medical Superintendent ,Gilgit Cardiac Hospital along with his team. During the visit, Dr. Farmanullah briefed the Honorable Minister Health on the current services being provided by the Gilgit Cardiac hospital, future development & Operational plans , and the procurement and installation of essential biomedical equipment.The Minister Health appreciated the efforts of the Medical Superintendent and hospital’s staff and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to enhancing healthcare services in Gilgit-Baltistan.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has launched the Prime Minister's Health Card program, providing free medical treatment to the residents of Islamabad, Azad Jammu & Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan. Federal Health Minister Mustafa Kamal stated that permanent residents of these regions will benefit from free healthcare services, covering approximately 1 crore people. The ceremony was attended by Gilgit-Baltistan's caretaker Chief Minister, Justice (Retd.) Yar Mohammad.

The federal government has decided to resume the health card facility for over 10 million residents of Islamabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Gilgit Baltistan.The PC-1 worth of Rs40 billion has been approved by the National Steering Committee of Sehat Sahulat Programme (SSP) chaired by Federal Health Minister Syed Mustafa Kamal. The service will be resumed from Jan 16.
