My paternal grandmother was not given a chance to go to school. She promised that would not happen to her children. She ensured all 8 of her children got the best education. I am the first female in my family to become a doctor. The first to have post graduate training in England. And the first to become a GP. This one is for my mother. All the women in my life and the world. You can do this.
We juggle work children life and we are awesome.
We come from a country where we are still fighting for our basic rights. So stand tall and proud and own it!!
Also it would be remiss if I didn’t thank my husband and my father . Special thanks to my parents in law and babies.

BFF GP mother of 2
This pic is us 15 years apart. We are what you call friends through marriage. Our hubbys are friends and so we inherited each other through marriage. Had our kids our training happen side by side. I have learned so much abt fashion from this woman.
Here’s to girl friendships between two strong confident first borns of their household. Everybody say MA. 🧿

2006. I came to England for plab. Didn’t know what the future would bring. My parents were posted in India and they travelled with me to ‘drop’ me off. After they left I realised wow I am alone in another country. I had officially finally become an adult. I had to budget. I had to plan. Find accommodation. Etc etc. I would be so happy jsut standing in an aisle of cheese. So much amazing things to see and experience even on my teeny budget. 2026 now. Much more polished. More make up. With children. And I’m not done yet.
The thing is looking back we always think how amazing our journey has been. But looking forward all we see is hurdles and exams and adulting which is very very hard. Just remember I survived life and you will you. ❤️❤️❤️ much love.
The only reason you’re where you are now is because you’re on a path. You’re at a start of your journey. So chin up and just keep swimming.
