ICCI President Meets Pakistan Ambassador in Riyadh
Explores Sectoral Cooperation & Announces Pakistan–Saudi Business & Investment Forum

Sardar Tahir Mehmood, President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCI) and Member, PM’s Task Force on Housing Sector, met with H.E. Ahmed Farooq, Ambassador of Pakistan to Saudi Arabia, at the Pakistan Embassy in Riyadh. 🇵🇰🇸🇦

The discussion focused on expanding bilateral trade and investment—highlighting key sectors such as textiles, agriculture, marble, hospitality, and IT.

President ICCI also announced plans to host a Pakistan–Saudi Business & Investment Forum in Riyadh to connect Pakistani exporters and industrialists with Saudi investors, with the Embassy’s support.

He appreciated the Ambassador’s dedicated efforts to strengthen Pakistan–Saudi economic ties and congratulated him on the successful visit of the Prime Minister of Pakistan to Saudi Arabia.

Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Pakistan, Irfan Neziroglu has said that Türkiye and Pakistan enjoy deep-rooted, brotherly relations which continue to strengthen with the passage of time. He emphasized that both countries share similar perspectives on major regional and global issues and that there exists vast potential to enhance bilateral trade and investment across multiple sectors.

The Ambassador expressed these views while talking to Tahir Ayub, Acting President of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), on the occasion of the 102nd Republic Day celebration of Turkiye here in Islamabad.

The Ambassador, while accepting the invitation to visit the ICCI at the earliest possible opportunity, appreciated the Chamber’s proactive role in fostering trade, investment, and business linkages between the two brotherly nations. He noted that ICCI has been instrumental in promoting economic diplomacy and that there remains immense scope for further expansion of economic cooperation in sectors such as construction, tourism, technology, and renewable energy.

On his part, Acting President ICCI Tahir Ayub extended heartfelt congratulations to the Ambassador and the people of Türkiye on their Republic Day. He apprised the Ambassador of ICCI’s initiatives as the premier representative body of the business community in the federal capital and highlighted the Chamber’s active engagement in promoting regional economic integration.

A delegation of Flour Mill Owners from Islamabad, led by the Acting President of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), Tahir Ayub, held a meeting with Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, Irfan Nawaz Memon, here on Wednesday. The purpose of the meeting was to apprise the Deputy Commissioner of different challenges confronting the flour mills owners in the region as to seek their prompt redressal.

During the meeting, the Acting President ICCI, Tahir Ayub, highlighted the issues being faced by flour mill owners due to certain policy constraints. He emphasized the importance of addressing these concerns on an urgent basis to ensure smooth supply of flour and maintain price stability in the local market.

In his remarks, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, Irfan Nawaz Memon, lauded the vital role of the business community in the economic growth and development of the federal capital. He assured the delegation that the Administration is fully committed to resolving their problems on a priority basis, as it is the duty of the government to facilitate both citizens and the business sector for the collective prosperity of the region.

Both sides agreed to maintain close coordination to promote a business-friendly environment in Islamabad.

The Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) hosted an interactive Ergonomics Training Session exclusively designed for business executives by Dr. Yogi Wajahat Ali Khan, renowned Yoga and Mind Sciences Expert, at the Chamber House.

The session focused on the importance of ergonomics in reducing workplace fatigue, improving posture, and fostering both physical and mental well-being. It was attended by a large number of participants including ICCI former Presidents, Executive Members, ICCI Members, and prominent business leaders.

During the session, Dr. Yogi Wajahat demonstrated practical techniques on how to sit, move, breathe, and work, not just for efficiency but for longevity and happiness in daily professional life.

In his welcome address, Acting President ICCI Tahir Ayub said that hosting such a session reflects ICCI’s continued commitment to not only advancing business excellence but also nurturing the well-being of the people who drive that excellence, executives, entrepreneurs, and professionals.

He added that in today’s demanding corporate environment, long working hours, digital strain, and poor posture silently affect productivity and overall health. “Ergonomics is not a luxury but a necessity for sustainable performance,” he emphasized. “By intelligently designing our workplaces and aligning our daily habits, we can prevent fatigue, reduce stress, and enhance creativity. A healthy workforce is indeed the foundation of a productive economy.”

The Acting President also appreciated the efforts of ICCI Executive Member Imran Minhas for organizing the significant and beneficial event.

Dr. Waqar Ahmad Niaz, Dr. Iftikhar Haider Malik, Sikandar Zaman, and Agha Tanveer also shared valuable insights on the subject.

ICCI-Rotary Club seminar highlights collective role in ending Polio from Pakistan

ICCI acting President Pledges continued support for the objective

The Rotary Club of Islamabad Metropolitan, in collaboration with the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), organized a seminar titled “Role of Stakeholders in Polio Eradication – Pakistan” at the S.M. Muneer Auditorium of the Chamber.
Addressing the seminar as Chief Guest, ICCI Acting President Tahir Ayub lauded Rotary International and its local chapters for their tireless efforts under the End Polio Now campaign, saying that Rotary has been at the heart of this global mission, working with partners and communities to ensure every child is protected.
