Through stories, creative activities, journaling, games, and charity projects, children will explore beautiful Islamic values like kindness, gratitude, and self-discipline — all in a joyful Ramadan atmosphere 🤍

Here’s a look at our “All-in-One” Fine motor skills class with our micro preschoolers.

Here, we are Learning about cars, airplanes, roads, runways, 🚦 traffic lights & road safety rules, number of wheels 🛞, sound of a horn & a lot more - with just Stickers in our hands!

Yes, just one learning tool- stickers!
Yes, just one skill at hand- peeling and sticking
Yes, just one goal - following the pattern

But how do we enhance the lesson?
Communication!

Talking to toddlers while they peel and stick.
Encouraging dialogue
Encouraging two way communication
Encouraging a response

“The verbs of Play” - a play-based Teaching Methodology by Ms.Mehreen

When we sit down together, we don’t just play.
We set a stage, for toddlers to take control and
Be in motion!

The instructions, that add structure to a fine motor skill building session are words I like to call “verbs of play” - not long lengthy sentences
But just “ One-Word prompts” that allow toddlers to take “action” without seeking adult support.

One word prompts allow toddlers to take verbal queues and perform the task at hand, instantly.

Alongside free play, access to materials and resources, I like to use my “verbs of play” for a more guided play-based session that still allows a child freedom to do what he or she wants, with an element of how I would like them to do it.

“When I say knead, you knead”
“When I say roll, you roll”

This supports speech development,
✔️ better instructional response
✔️ Vocabulary enhancement
✔️ better hand eye coordination

Throughout our day, the focus is on child-led schooling philosophy but alongside incorporating mindful language prompts that allow children to adapt to using materials at hand In a meaningful way.
