As part of its Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign, Dr. Akbar Niazi Teaching Hospital (ANTH), a constituent institution of GAK HealthCare International, organized an informative awareness session at Campus H11, Islamabad, aimed at educating young minds about the importance of early detection, prevention, and self-care.

The session opened with Imran Ali Ghouri, GAK HealthCare’s Head of Communications, who shared the vision and mission of GAK HealthCare, highlighting the world-class healthcare and educational facilities at ANTH and Islamabad Medical & Dental College (IMDC). He also emphasized the group’s ongoing commitment to community well-being through awareness activities and outreach programs.

Following this, Dr. Hira Saleem, Assistant Professor/General & Cancer Surgeon, delivered an engaging and informative presentation on breast cancer risk factors, causes, symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment options, including surgical procedures. She particularly stressed the importance of prevention through a healthy lifestyle and the practice of regular breast self-examination, guiding students on how to perform screening at home confidently and safely.

The principal and management of Headstart School expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the GAK HealthCare team for conducting such an insightful and valuable session. They also requested that more similar educational and awareness activities be arranged in the future for students, parents, teachers, and school staff.

Yasir Khan Niazi, Group CEO of GAK HealthCare International and Dr. Akbar Niazi Teaching Hospital, continued to strengthen the organization’s growing footprint in Southeast Asia via a series of high-level meetings with Indonesian government leaders. Among these, a key meeting took place with Edistasius Endi, Regent of West Manggarai, held in Labuan Bajo, the capital of West Manggarai Regency in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) province.

This engagement followed Yasir Niazi’s earlier discussions with the Governor of NTT and the Vice Minister of Investment and Downstream Industry/Deputy of BKPM Indonesia during the same visit. In those meetings, both sides shared a unified vision to enhance the province’s healthcare system through the deployment of qualified doctors, the establishment of a medical college, and the promotion of joint research and development initiatives. Discussions with the Vice Minister further focused on expanding technology-driven medical services across Indonesia. Collectively, these exchanges represented a significant step forward toward future investment and collaboration.

In his meeting with the Regent, health tourism was highlighted as a regional development priority. Mr. Endi outlined plans for a major new hospital in Labuan Bajo and expressed his commitment to supporting GAK HealthCare’s potential role in the project. He further offered assistance in securing new zoning allocations, emphasizing that the regional government has the authority to amend zoning rights for initiatives that deliver clear social benefits. The Regent also proposed linking the proposed hospital with a medical college, pledging to advocate for a Presidential Decree should GAK HealthCare choose a project site requiring special approval.

This collaboration promises to advance healthcare and medical education in Indonesia while building stronger academic and institutional linkages between Indonesia and Pakistan.

GAK HealthCare International and its constituent institutions including Dr.Akbar Niazi Teaching Hospital (ANTH) and Islamabad Medical & Dental College (IMDC), had the honor of being invited to the Chinese National Day celebrations in Islamabad. Representing the Group, Dr. Areej Neyazi, Director Hospital, and Imran Ali Ghouri, Head of Communications, extended heartfelt congratulations to the Chinese Ambassador, embassy officials, and through them to the people of China on this momentous occasion.

The event was graced by Chairman Senate Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani as Chief Guest, along with Governor KPK Faisal Karim Kundi, several federal ministers, and ambassadors and dignitaries from countries including China, the US, the UK, Saudi Arabia, the Netherlands, and Japan, among others. Media personalities, senior government officials, and members of the security forces also added to the distinguished gathering.
