25 November International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
Today, on 25th November, we stand together to break the silence around violence against women a reality that affects millions of lives, yet often remains hidden behind fear, shame, and social pressure.
Violence is not only physical. It is emotional, psychological, financial, and digital.
Awareness begins with education.
We must teach our communities our daughters and our sons that every woman deserves dignity, safety, and freedom. We must challenge harmful attitudes, speak up when we witness abuse, and create safe spaces where women can share their stories without fear.
Controlling violence starts from within our homes.
Communication, respect, and boundaries must be taught early. Families must learn to listen, not dominate. Men must learn that strength means protection, not control. And women must know that asking for help is not weakness it is courage.
Today, let us commit to three actions:
1. Speak up whenever we see abuse.
2. Support survivors with compassion.
3. Promote equality in our homes and communities.
Change starts with awareness, and awareness begins with us.
Thank you.
