A Chance to Change

A Chance to Change A Chance to Change provides counseling services and programs for addiction and behavioral disorders. If you are in crisis please call 9-11 or the 2-11 Hotline.

We are an Oklahoma nonprofit Facing Mental Health, Addiction & Trauma, Creating Solutions, Celebrating Recovery. Our mission is to offer a chance to change lives affected by addictions and behavioral disorders. A Chance to Change Foundation was established in 1979 as an addiction treatment center, with an emphasis on helping the whole family. A Chance to Change Foundation operates its addiction treatment, prevention, and education programs with the understanding that chemical dependency is a chronic disease that can be treated. ACTC believes that the family is also affected and often best results come from working with the entire family. We understand that substance abuse recovery requires ongoing support, and the agency refers to support groups such as Alcoholics Anonymous, Al-Anon, and others. A Chance to Change counselors can consult with your doctor or other referral source according to your wishes. We provide complete assessments and will offer each client recommendations for the best sources of help for their individual needs. If the client has needs we cannot meet, we will help them find the right level of treatment. We strictly follow all laws and ethical standards for client confidentiality. This site is for educational information and communication purposes. Thank you and have a wonderful day!

Healing happens in community. 💙

Group therapy creates a space where people feel seen, supported, and understood. When we connect with others who share similar experiences, we gain new perspectives, learn valuable skills, and realize we’re not alone in our journey.

Curious how connection can support your growth?

When your mind feels like it’s racing, grounding can help you slow down and reconnect. 🌿

The 5-4-3-2-1 technique gently brings you back to the present by tuning into what you can see, touch, hear, smell, and taste.

Why it helps:
• Regulates your nervous system
• Encourages mindfulness and clarity
• Supports emotional stability
• Eases anxiety, flashbacks, and overwhelm

No equipment. No prep. Just your senses and a few steady breaths.

Teaching is deeply meaningful work, but it can also feel exhausting and emotionally heavy. Many educators carry more than they ever expected, often without a space to process or recharge.

Our FREE 6‑week Teacher Support Group offers a safe, confidential place to share experiences, receive encouragement, and build supportive connections with others who understand classroom challenges.

Each week, an ACTC facilitator will guide discussions on mental well‑being, stress management, grounding strategies, and tools to help educators stay connected to their purpose.

✨ Group Starts: Tuesday, March 24, 2026
✨ Meets Weekly: Tuesdays, 12:00–1:00 PM (via Zoom)
✨ Cost: Completely FREE

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, burnt out, or simply needing a supportive community, this group is here to help you rediscover balance and peace in your profession.
