Mian Muhammad Bukhsh Trust is an independent non-governmental organization to provide basic Health & Education facilities with a focus on community development in the rural areas. In health sector our priority is Mother and Child Health because more than 500000 women die from complications of pregnancy and child birth every year. Also, many pregnant women living in poverty, simply do not have transportation to emergency medical facilities. Providing fast access to medical centers can save millions of lives. It is also important to ensure that mid-wife or doctor is present at every delivery. More young people need to be trained with education and awareness campaigns on reproductive health. Bringing a baby into this world should be a wonderful moment in a woman’s life but for many it is a life threatening event. The underlying philosophy of our organization is best found in the words of Ruby Manikan,
"If you educate a man you educate a person, but if you educate a woman you educate a family." In a male-oriented society where education opportunities for the poor are few, women are less likely to receive them.
