On 27th October 2025, a patient was attended with affections of external head; scaly eruption, white scabs. Head covered with thick, leathery crusts, under which pus collects. Mez was prescribed for five days after taking his symptoms with instructions to update after five days that he did yesterday night updating 75% improvement/relief in the disease. I prescribed him same medicine for 7 days more with the home he would get complete cure Inshallah.
The Scabs on the scalp can be due to various conditions, including infections like head lice, ringworm, inflammatory skin issues like psoriasis or seborrheic dermatitis, and allergic reactions to products contact dermatitis.
1- Common causes may be Seborrheic dermatitis (dandruff).
2- Contact dermatitis is from reaction to hair products, chemicals, shampoos, colour dye causing irritation, itching and scabs.
3- Psoriasis in conventional treatment it is considered an autoimmune condition that causes rapid skin cell growth, leading to thick, scaly patches that can become scabs.
4- Head lice cause irritation and scratching caused by lice can lead to scabs.
5- Bacterial infection or fungal infections, such as folliculitis or ringworm, can cause bumps that form scabs.
6- Shingles is a viral infection that can cause a painful rash and scabs on the scalp.
The treatment under conventional method depends on the cause and may involve medicated shampoos, lotions, or prescribed medications, but in homeopathy there is a wide range of medicines that are prescribed after taking the patient’s overall symptoms.
