She has extensive clinical experience in the field and has worked in a number of renowned institutions. Dr. Rabia is available for consultation at Lifeline Hospital, North Nazimabad Block B on Monday and Wednesday from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. For non-affording patients she is available for consultation from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM on Saturday at Al-Khidmat Medical Center, Sakhi Hasan, Karachi.

Don't Say:

Stigma, Prejudice, and Discrimination against people with mental illness.

Stigma refers to the sense of collective disapproval or group of negative perceptions attached to particular people, trait, condition, or lifestyle. More than half of people with mental illness do not receive help for their mental disorder and delay / avoid treatment because of fear of being treated differently.

Public Stigma involves the negative or discriminatory attitudes that others have about mental illness.

Self Stigma refers to the negative attitudes including internalized shame that people have about their own condition.

ذہنی بیماری میں مبتلا لوگوں کے خلاف بدنظمی، تعصب اور امتیازی سلوک۔

کلنک سے مراد اجتماعی نامنظور کا احساس یا مخصوص لوگوں، خصلت، حالت یا طرز زندگی سے منسلک منفی تاثرات کا گروپ ہے۔ دماغی بیماری میں مبتلا آدھے سے زیادہ لوگ اپنے دماغی عارضے کے لیے مدد حاصل نہیں کرتے اور مختلف طریقے سے علاج کیے جانے کے خوف کی وجہ سے علاج میں تاخیر / گریز کرتے ہیں۔

عوامی بدنامی میں وہ منفی یا امتیازی رویہ شامل ہوتا ہے جو دوسروں کے دماغی بیماری کے بارے میں ہوتا ہے۔

Self Stigma سے مراد وہ منفی رویے ہیں جن میں اندرونی شرم و حیا شامل ہے جو لوگ اپنی حالت کے بارے میں رکھتے ہیں۔
