A Seminar was organized by two institutes of Dow University of Health Sciences; Dept. Of Psychiatry Dow Medical College/ Civil Hospital and Dr. A. Q. Khan Center Institute of Behavioural Sciences (IBS) to commemorate World Mental Health Day, with active participation from both departments.
The program began with a Walk for Awareness, symbolizing a unified effort to promote mental health advocacy, followed by the main session held at the IBS Auditorium. The theme of the session was “Mental Health in Catastrophes and Emergencies.”
The event featured a distinguished panel of speakers.
The speakers shared valuable insights on the psychological impact of disasters and emergencies, emphasizing the importance of resilience, preparedness, and mental health support systems in crisis situations.
The event concluded with a Certificate and Ajrak Distribution Ceremony, marking a graceful conclusion to an enlightening and well-coordinated observance of World Mental Health Day
