What is NIBD Blood Bank?

NIBD & BMT is an eighty (80) bedded hospital. It is specialized center of Hematology & Bone Marrow Transplant which is exclusively dedicated to provide comprehensive diagnosis and management of blood disorders and have exclusive blood transfusion department comprises of "Blood Bank" & "Donor Area" with competent, well-trained, educated & sophisticated staff members. We aim to achieve voluntary non-remunerated blood donations to manage the utmost need of blood and emphasize that the recruitment of donors should be according to international guidelines and also to provide safe blood/components products. We provide service of blood typing and grouping, antibody screening, identification and titer, issuance of safe blood/component products, buffy coat, Irradiated products & single donor platelet units, plasmapheresis, leukopheresis, exchange transfusion and platelet pheresis. In addition, we arrange blood camps for volunteer blood donors in educational and professional premises in order to obtain healthy & safe blood products and also to highlight the significance of voluntary blood donations. The annual collection of blood is approximately 12000 at our institute.
