Almost two weeks ago, at Karophth’25 – Karachi Ophthalmology Conference, we had the privilege of hosting the first-ever session exclusively dedicated to Uveitis.
The session was chaired by Prof. S. Fawad Rizvi and was very well attended by many renowned and respected senior ophthalmologists.
We were honored to welcome Dr. Akbar Shakoor from the John A. Moran Eye Center , University of Utah, USA, who shared his vast international expertise in Uveitis. Dr. Mahnaz N. Shah - The Eye Centers spoke on managing glaucoma in Uveitis, while Dr. Sohaib Abbas Malik enriched the discussion with his valuable clinical insights.
I had the honor of serving both as moderator and speaker. This was a proud milestone in bringing greater recognition to Uveitis within ophthalmology in Pakistan, and I’m truly excited to carry this momentum forward through future collaborations, research, and training opportunities.
