Fabric Technology

The cotton fabric composition has been especially engineered to provide high breathability; this allows maximum face coverage (to enhance protection) without causing any discomfort even after prolonged usage. The cotton fabric is also made stretchable which ensures a snug yet comfortable fit to prevent any particles from entering the gaps along the boundary.

The cotton straps have an ergonomic design allowing the mask to cling on to the face profile along the edges without causing any discomfort on the back of the ear.

MedMask Filtration Technology

Medmask® relies on two main filtration technologies. The 100% cotton layers sandwiching the polypropylene filter film are treated with SILVADUR antimicrobial technology. This polymer-containing silver technology delivers silver ions when organisms land or form on a treated fabric. These ions continually release to safely kill microbes along with protecting the fabric from odor and material degradation.

The middle filter is the main guard against germs, allergens, dust, fluids and pollen. This filter consists of extremely fine polypropylene fibers in complex layers which allows it to trap infectious particles. These fibers are also electrostatically charged to provide extra “stickiness” while retaining breathability. This structure, along with electrostatic charge, not only creates a tortuous path for any incoming particles but also results in the adhesion of these particles to the fibers without blocking the open spaces, still allowing air to flow easily across the filter. This layer ensures Medmask®’s bacterial filtration efficiency of ≥ 95%.
