Today, Prof. Dr. Saad Khalid Niaz, a renowned consultant from the OMI Hospital team and Head of the Gastroenterology Department, appeared on Express News Morning Show.

On the occasion of World Liver Day, he highlighted the critical importance of liver health and the alarming rise in liver-related diseases. He discussed common conditions such as fatty liver, hepatitis, and liver cirrhosis, emphasizing that these issues are increasingly seen due to unhealthy dietary habits, sedentary lifestyles, and lack of routine medical checkups.

He stressed that the liver plays a vital role in digestion, detoxification, and overall body function, and any damage to it can lead to serious health complications. He further explained that early diagnosis through proper screening and timely medical intervention can help prevent disease progression and improve patient outcomes.
