Zakat has the power to save lives.

Through your Zakat, the Pakistan Stroke Initiative, in collaboration with Patients’ Aid Foundation, is building a free, state-of-the-art stroke care unit at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, Karachi.

Stroke strikes without warning, and in those critical moments, every minute can mean the difference between life, disability, and recovery. In Pakistan, timely access to specialized stroke care remains limited, leaving many families vulnerable when they need help the most.

This facility is being designed to provide rapid, high-quality, and comprehensive stroke treatment so that care is based on urgency, not affordability. Your Zakat will help ensure that no patient is turned away due to cost and that every stroke patient gets a real chance at recovery.

Give your Zakat today and help save lives.

A stroke is not just a medical emergency, it’s a race against time.

Every minute of delay can lead to irreversible brain damage, affecting speech, movement, and independence. That’s why rapid diagnosis, specialized care, and timely intervention are critical to saving lives and reducing lifelong disability.

At the Pakistan Stroke Initiative, the mission is clear: strengthen stroke awareness, improve emergency response, and build world-class stroke care in Pakistan, so that every patient has a fighting chance when every minute matters.

Know the signs. Act FAST. Save a life.

Most stroke stories begin with “if only.” If only we knew. If only we acted faster.

But stroke care doesn’t start at the hospital.
The truth is, it all starts with prevention; managing blood pressure, diabetes, stress, and lifestyle.
When it happens, FAST action can save the brain.
And after survival, recovery and rehab help people find their way back to life.

Stroke isn’t one moment.
It’s a journey. And every step matters.

Fasting shifts your body’s rhythm: hydration drops, blood pressure fluctuates, and sugar levels can spike. For stroke survivors and high-risk individuals, these changes need extra care.

Before you fast, have a conversation with your doctor. Adjust medications safely. Plan balanced meals. Stay mindful of fluid intake between Iftar and Suhoor.

Most importantly, know the early signs of stroke. Acting within minutes can save a life and prevent long-term disability.

Share this with your family and friends. Someone’s timely action could make all the difference.
