♾️ Alhamdulillah, we remain deeply grateful for the opportunity to support families through evidence-based, parent-mediated interventions that equip caregivers with practical communication strategies, extending learning beyond the therapy room.

🧑‍🧑‍🧒 A recent parent education session focused on Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), including the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), dedicated AAC devices and evidence-based AAC applications. Parents explored how multimodal communication supports can enhance functional communication, expressive language development, participation and social interaction.

🌿 Being non-verbal does not mean being unable to communicate. With structured AAC systems and consistent caregiver involvement, children can develop meaningful ways to express needs, preferences, emotions and connections with others.

🙏🏻 Alhamdulillah, we are thankful for our families, therapists, and community who continue to grow with us. Through caregiver empowerment and collaborative learning, Shifaam remains committed to inclusive communication, early intervention and sustainable developmental outcomes.
