In June, 2012, Dr Sharjeel Sultan started Ismat Eye Hospital in Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Karachi. But soon after one year, mainly to cater the fast expanding needs, the Hospital facility was shifted to a more convenient and bigger building located at Rashid Minhas Road, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi which provides comprehensive eye care including diagnostic, preventive, medical, surgical and laser facilities. Financial, Technical and Human Resource support is being provided by Dr Shazia Kiran and Dr. Sharjeel Sultan while the Administration department is looked after by Mr Mujtaba Ahmad who is a qualified Metallurgical Engineer having Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from IBA, Karachi with vast industrial and teaching experience.

The guiding principles of our hospital are provision of the highest quality eye care which can be accessed by most individuals, including those with very low incomes. The hospital works on a true non-profit basis. The objective of our eye care is to treat major ailments that cause preventable blindness. Many of these diseases are left untreated due to the high cost of treatment or non-availability of the required equipment or human resources.

Dr Sharjeel Sultan has recently set up the Ismat Eye Hospital in Gulshan e Iqbal Karachi. Ismat Eye Hospital is providing comprehensive eye care which includes diagnostic, preventive, medical, surgical and laser facilities. Technical and Human Resource support has been provided by Dr. Sharjeel Sultan.
