Graduate School of Engineering Sciences and Information Technology (GSESIT), Karachi. Faculty of Engineering Sciences & Technology (FEST) at Hamdard University is the true center of excellence and provides the most congenial environment for research in various fields of engineering and Information Technology. Hamdard Institute of Information Technology (HIIT) was established in 1997. HIIT – a body for imparting quality education and training is among one of the pioneers to introduce Information Technology education in Pakistan. Graduate School of Engineering Science and Technology (GSESIT) is especially geared towards graduate studies and currently offers Masters, M.Phil. As a premier research university in science and technology, Hamdard University, aims to contribute to the advancement of the nation and human society in general by undertaking education and research in the most advanced and in-depth theories and applications of science and technology, promoting collaboration with industry and research institutes, and by producing creative manpower. It offer graduate programs leading to the Master of Science, Master of Engineering and Doctor of Philosophy degrees with majors in various discipline of engineering and sciences. The Postgraduate Program in Engineering and Sciences at Hamdard University (HU), Faculty of Engineering Science and Technology (FEST) prepares students to conduct state-of-the-art research and enable students to develop a level of knowledge and expertise that allow them to practice independently and collaboratively with others at advanced level in their field of choice. The program emphasizes student/faculty interaction and timely completion of the degree. The aim of the Postgraduate Program in Engineering and Sciences is to attain theoretical and practical depth in one of the areas of interest. The students enrolled in the postgraduate program would have to specialize in one of the given areas of specialization according to the guidelines. FEST believes in quality education and research, to cater the requirement of domain specific education and research FEST consist of following three main academic programs:

The Department of Computing at FEST offers the following degree program
1. M.S. - Computer Science with the following specializations:

a. Software Engineering

2. Ph.D. - Computer Science with major Area of Specialization (AOS):

a. Computer and Communication Networks

b. Software Engineering

Department of Energy and Environment

The Department of Energy and Environment at FEST offers the following degree program

1. M.S in Energy and Environment

2. Ph.D. in Energy and Environment
