The WHO’s new Global status report on neurology shows that neurological conditions now affect more than 40% of the global population – over 3 billion people. The top 10 neurological conditions contributing to death and disability as of 2021 were stroke, neonatal encephalopathy, migraine, Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, diabetic neuropathy, meningitis, idiopathic epilepsy, neurological complications linked to preterm birth, autism spectrum disorders, and cancers of the nervous systems.

Certificate Distribution Ceremony of project Luna in collaboration with AGP pharma : “ Woman’s Health course “ took place at College of Family Medicine Pakistan on 26th Sept 2025. Prof M Zaman Shaikh was the Chief Guest of the occasion. Training was conducted online across the country for 200 primary care physicians. The event was well attended .
Another Certificate distribution took simultaneously for “ A 20 credit hours Course on rational use of antibiotics “ in collaboration with SHINE Humanity group. Training was conducted for 21 doctors across Pakistan.

Doctors Are Not Free Helplines

We give free advice. We write free prescriptions. We explain test results late at night. We answer calls at birthdays,weddings, and even funerals.

Why? Because we care. Because we promised to help. Because we believe healing is important.

But what do we hear? “Why are you asking for money?” “This is a noble job.” “You should serve people,not charge them.”

Meanwhile, other jobs are clear about their worth: -Lawyers charge for calls.
-Accountants charge for signatures.
-Architects charge for plans.
-Therapists charge for every session.
-IT experts don’t fix things for free.
-Tutors don’t teach without pay.

But doctors? People expect a diagnosis over a text. They want serious advice in a two-minute call. They get upset if we mention fees—because it’s“just service.”

But what we give isn’t “just information.” It is expert knowledge. It’s not a Google search—it’s wisdom from years of hard work and sacrifice.

This needs to change. If society only sees the cost and not the value of our care,doctors may walk away. Then the world will see what it created: A system where care is expected,but never truly valued.
