52% of women of reproductive age in Pakistan are affected by Polycystic O***y Syndrome (PCOS) - that's more than half of women in this age group! Yet, conversations around PCOS remain limited, which means diagnoses and treatment are also limited. Talking openly and learning about PCOS is the first step toward breaking the stigma and spreading awareness.

As part of our International Women’s Day initiative, we are spotlighting key women’s health conditions. To help raise awareness, we asked healthcare professionals, partners, and our own team members to share insights and experiences to enable more women to better understand the condition and get the support they need.

Endometriosis can sometimes go unnoticed, especially when symptoms are mistaken for “normal.”

This is the story of Alyna, a mother with a young child, who faced challenges while trying to conceive again. Alyna experienced severe cycle cramps, which she believed were just postpartum changes, but they were actually symptoms of endometriosis.

With the right medical advice and diagnosis, she began managing her condition and was able to move forward on her journey to motherhood.
Stories like Alyna’s help raise awareness, encouraging women to listen to their bodies and seek timely care.

If you are experiencing similar symptoms, consult your gynaecologist.

As part of International Women’s Day, we celebrated this year’s theme, “Give to Gain,” by setting up Giving Stations at key Bayer locations across Pakistan.

Each station featured a selection of wellness teas, encouraging colleagues to take a moment for self-care. Our women colleagues created tea selections for themselves to take home, while men prepared selections for the women in their lives as a gesture of appreciation and support.

Colleagues also participated in the Give to Gain Note Exchange, sharing messages that empower and celebrate women. Through these small acts of recognition, we embrace the Give to Gain mindset—when women thrive, we all rise.

Today on International Women's Day, we asked our colleagues what this year’s theme, “Give to Gain,” means to them.

Through their voices, we hear what inclusion, allyship, and empowerment mean in our workplace. Because when we support one another and create opportunities for everyone to contribute and grow, we build stronger teams and a more successful organization.

Here are Team Bayer's commitments to supporting women and how they will Give to Gain.

Thinking a heavy flow that disrupts your daily routine is normal? It’s anything but normal.

Millions of women experience heavy menstrual bleeding without realizing it may be a medical condition that can be treated.

This month, as part of our International Women’s Day campaign, we are raising awareness about important women’s health conditions. Through insights from healthcare professionals, partners, and our own team members, we aim to share knowledge that empowers women to better understand their health and seek the care they deserve.

Bayer Pakistan recently participated in the LUMS Career Fair to meet students eager to explore real-world career opportunities. Our team shared how we bring science, innovation, and a vibrant culture together to make an impact in healthcare and agriculture.

At our booth, the students met with members of Team Bayer and had the opportunity to ask their most pressing questions, explore different career paths, and get a firsthand look at how curiosity, learning, and fresh ideas drive what we do every day.

This engagement reinforced the importance of creating spaces where early-career talent can explore, ask questions, and gain practical exposure to the professional environment.

We are delighted to announce the inauguration of Bayer Pakistan’s newly renovated Head Office in Karachi, on February 16, 2026.

We were pleased to have German Consul General Mr Thomas E. Schultze join us to experience the new office space for the first time on inauguration day, along with our country leadership and Head Office-based colleagues.

The new office has been thoughtfully reimagined to reflect Bayer’s cultural transformation in line with our Dynamic Shared Ownership (DSO) operating model. It brings in a more modern way of working that eliminates hierarchical structures, and brings colleagues together in one shared, open workspace to encourage seamless collaboration and interaction across teams.

Inclusivity was also at the heart of this transformation. With improved accessibility features integrated through thoughtful design elements, we’ve ensured that persons with disabilities can navigate the space comfortably in order to contribute more fully and feel a sense of belonging.

We’re excited to share more details on our head office transformation soon, because this is more than just a new office – it’s a reflection of Bayer’s culture, our aspirations, and the way we’re shaping the future of work together.

We are proud to celebrate Sehrish Hanson, our Karachi Front Desk Officer, on successfully completing her technical skills development course with NOWPDP, where she has been recognized at their convocation.

In 2024, she completed targeted training that enhanced her job-ready skills and accelerated her career development. Following this in 2025, she was recruited to join Team Bayer with the support of NOWPDP. Her achievement reflects her dedication and the impact of creating the right opportunities for growth.

The training completion was recognized at the NOWPDP ceremony attended by the Chief Minister of Sindh, highlighting the importance of upskilling and inclusion for persons with disabilities across many fields.

At Bayer, we believe that talent thrives when everyone is given the space, support, and access to learn and succeed. We remain committed to creating an inclusive workplace where persons with disabilities are empowered, valued, and provided with meaningful opportunities to build their skills and shape their future.

We congratulate Sehrish on this achievement.

The Bayer Pakistan Pharmaceutical team recently participated in the Karachi University Annual Pharma Connect (KUAPC) 2026, hosted by the Faculty of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Karachi.

The event brought together graduating pharmacy students to help them prepare for the realities of the professional world, not just technically, but personally as well. At Bayer, we believe that building the future starts with investing in new talent.

Khurram Mirza, Country Commercial Lead, Pharmaceutical Division, Bayer Pakistan, joined the event as a guest speaker. In his session, “Shaping the Future: The Evolution of Pakistan’s Pharmaceutical Industry and the Need for Talent Development,” Khurram spoke about how the industry is evolving, the growing expectations from healthcare, and why developing skilled, ethical, and patient-focused professionals is critical for sustainable progress in the field of healthcare.

Engaging with young, ambitious minds was a reminder of the immense potential within Pakistan’s healthcare landscape. By encouraging innovation and continuous learning, we can collectively strengthen the ecosystem and make a real difference for patients across the country.
